re: I just can't pull for Saban and Bama tonight!

I've made the argument that we should all pull for our conference in bowl games, and we've all seen and read it hear before, but you have no further evidence of WHY we should pull for every SEC team than ESPN's constant use of the win/loss graphic for conference's in the bowls, and using that as the "closing argument" for conference superiority/strength.

Don't you think the Big Tens's image will take an even deeper plunge if Ohio State loses tonight and the conference ends up with only Iowa's win over SOUTH CAROLINA to hang their hat on?

And to those who say "it doesn't matter how you are percieved as long as you win your games"...thats a very weak argument. How many times do you have teams go undefeated? Its much more likely to have a bunch of teams with the same record, and the difference is how strong your conference/competition is perceived. Ask Utah.

I will always pull for the entire conference during the bowls, no exceptions. My only caveat is that I wouldn't shed any tears if Auburn were to lose (the next time they make a bowl, that is).

BTW, if Utah beats Bama should they get a share of the NC? They'll be the only undefeated team.

The original Aunt re-married! This logic would only make sense if he came back and had a choice between Aunt(LSU) and neighbor and chose the neighbor.

Its not asked enough but how do you Florida fans feel about Spurrier? Do you resent him as much as LSU fans seem to resent Saban?

I'm still waiting on someone to say "Utah will win, book it". Just not the same on here without it.

We saw alot of gumpmobiles on I-20 as we were coming back from Atlanta yesterday. I sure hope they spend alot of money in new orleans. Hotel rooms are available in the french quarter so I don't think they are in full force. Has Nick ever lost in the superdome ?
