I'm really feeling uninspired to schlep my crap to the plains, tailgate in a monsoon and watch some sloppy Auburn football, in sloppy weather.

Help me find inspiration to weather the weather, and the current AU product.

Anyone else going or having second thoughts about going?

Last Thursday I couldn't wait until the game started on Saturday. This week just a small ray of hope under a pile of disappointment.

West Virginia in the rain was one of the best times I've had in JHS. So maybe try to relive that?

But there may be a huge difference in my fun level now that I'm pushing 40 now than when I was in my early 20s.

Is this finally the week that the humidity gets to the visiting team from out west?

Never forget that we performed horribly @ Cal because of jetlag as well.

This game is going to be a loss hangover game - why blame the team when you can blame the weather?

I still haven't dried out from that downpour. I had to sit in wet clothes all game and then make the 4 hour trip back home before I could get some dry clothes on. I started keeping a spare set of clothes with me at all times due to that game

I will tell you this, Jang. I am generally a very positive and optimistic person and still the same. But the in-person vibe during the entire game after the first drive was so negative, everyone could feel it. I don’t think anyone expected us to come back after half time and roll them over. It was a weird feeling, but the ending confirmed it. If Arkansas rolls us, we are cooked so we better have a damn good plan for the next two games.
ETA: The sorority girls in white constantly hamming it up for the cameras while we were getting destroyed was infuriating.

That was definitely one of the better games I have attended. Their fans were pretty cool despite some other opinions on WV.

Sad really. I just hope the recruits dont catch wind of how down we are at Freeze at this moment. (So no booing)The game was rough. It felt like a classic get fricked game and our myriad of mistakes combined with their timely plays and expert punts that stalled us out constantly confirmed it. Maybe the silver lining is that we actually got beat by doing the obvious bad stuff ( committing a shite ton of turnovers) unlike last year when NMST beat the brakes off of us by three TDs and we didnt turn the ball over but for maybe once. That buzzsaw had lot more girth in the blade and the hurt was so intense. Hopefully one day we are turning over the higher ranked teams and we are the ones delivering the "get fricked" to the sleepwalkers. I got to see that starting with Tuberville and I want to start picking them off again.

I think the highs of the summer caught up to us and we werent quite ready to be up there yet. But that time will come as soon as Freeze attaches some credibility to his recruiting pitches. I know for a fact Thorne can play well enough if we protect him. If Freeze knows his strengths then he can adjust accordingly. We cannot just pass all over the place just to appease the receivers or to get back to what he wants to do. If the running game is our strength (and it is,) then we need to rely on it. The few times we got the running game going were only because we were so backed up that we didnt have much choice, but once we got cooking, a sack or something stalled the momentum. We have to call the game knowing the strengths and weaknesses.

I was personally hoping sorority girls in the white would experience a torrential downpour and we get some see-through.

Alexa says it is going to rain, 80 percent chance.

I'm just the messenger, Alexa is a know it all.
Weather channel shows 49 percent.

Alexa will not tell me how any interceptions you know who will have.

Hey Einstein,

We're 1 an 4 out of the last 5.

And at the moment I'm leaning toward DVR and possibly deleting without watching. Same with any presser that doesn't start with it's all on me, even if untrue or feigned or he chokes on the damn words . Recruits what to be shown the money and fans need to be pacified. It's a part of being the HC and generations in the making.

Maybe he has and if so I'll admit to being wrong. However if it's somewhere the other side of 60 seconds it's misplaced and just another blatant flaw.
