Kirby has been very quiet on him playing this weekend assuming we hear something within the next 48 hours till Saturday morning what is the percentage of him playing? Also when in the Frick did Matt Luke Go to Clemson?

I doubt Etienne will play. Most of the people in the know think Kirby is pushing admin to let him play since DUI was dropped, but admin is holding firm. Maybe they’ll compromise and just suspend him for the first half.

Kirby has always been quiet about players not playing due to suspension and injuries. He even called RodRob “week to week” after announcing he had surgery for turf toe. He will be out 10 weeks minimum
As said above, insiders say administration is enforcing this one. Maybe Kirby breaks them by Saturday but we won’t know anything until ETN either doesn’t get on the bus or doesn’t play in the game

Dawgs shouldn't need ETN to win this game. And, even with the surgery to Mr. Turf toe, the RB room will not be the reason UGA wins or loses against Clemson. Just my opinion.

I tend to disagree. With Robinson out and ETN out, that leaves us with Branson Robinson, Cash Jones, and true freshmen Frazier/Phillips/Bowens.
The freshmen are good, but are they ready for pass protection. If not, then you have Robinson or Cash Jones that can pass protect. I suspect they will need breathers at some point. With Branson coming off a devastating injury we don't know if he is 100% ready or in top shape for games yet.
Clemson has one of the best DLine's we will face this year. If we are unable to run the ball, Clemson can sit back with extra DB's.
This is not to say I think we will lose. Not at all. but it makes for a recipe for an upset or at the very least a close game. It will be interesting to see how both teams maneuver around the loss of ETN and Roderick Robinson. If another of our RBs gets dinged up (Branson in particular) it could prove to be devastating.

Just reading the tea leaves here, but I suspect Beck to have a huge game.

Graham saying to expect Cash and Frazier to play a similar amount of snaps. Also said Chaz will be starting at Jack smh
Did say Damon Wilson will play a lot but damn, was hoping Chaz would have gotten passed this off season.

No doubt he will be, but I would not expect him to have complete grasp of pass protection/playbook this early. Hard to say, though. In my mind, RB is one of those positions that players can pick up early. We may need him to take a huge load early.

Whether he's pick that up or not is going to be key to Beck having a big game.

took the words out of my mouth.
I don't predict us to lose, but IF we do it will almost surely be RB related. I'll never worry about defense under Kirby even with some new faces. I jsut can't fathom them scoring 30+ on us. On offense we have a veteran and talented OL, a heisman caliber QB, and plenty serviceable enough WRs and TEs.
But coming into the game with a guy coming off an ACL injury, a walkon, and TRfr is troubling as shite. That's sipmly a bad bad RB room to start the season with any way you slice it. I know all those guys have potentail and are capable, btu if we simply can't get the run game going and they sit back knowing we're going to pass 80% of the time we could have our hands full.

I like reading WGs posts simply because of his typos. It’s like a built in game of Jumble.

It's really strange. My posts weren't like that the first ~18 years of me posting here. Then at my last job the keyboard was a piece of shite and I think there was a lag in info getting to the monitor or something so it was REALLY bad.
Now I work somewhere else and I like the keyboard but I think I've just adopted a lot more of a DGAF attitude towards them. I can see the typos but as long as ya'll can see the point I'm getting across it's like "ok who cares I don't want to take the time to fix all these red squigglies"

Andrew Paul was an idiot to leave, dude would be starting Saturday
Posted on 8/29/24 at 9:20 am to Dawg4Life47
But he will get more playing time and exposure at Jacksonville State!!!!
I honestly don't blame him for leaving. These kids want to play. I know he might be starting Saturday if he stayed, but when he transferred, he was looking at 4th in the depth chart and likely 2 freshmen moving ahead of him throughout the year....

If Chaz was not white, would he have the same scrutiny?
Posted on 8/29/24 at 9:27 am to Peter Buck
If he still engaged the pulling guard instead of pursuing the running back that was running right by him then yes.

the SAME? Probably not. Scrutiny? Absolutely.
He simply isn't to the level of talent and effectiveness we've seen from Kirby. It was eye opening seeing the dropoff the tail end of 2022 going from Nolan to chaz, although that isn' really a fair comparison to chaz but it did happen.
His forte is supposed to be smarts and setting the edge/maintaining gaps and basically doing the unsung things that need to be done that won't show in the stat sheet. And that's great. But it doesn't amount to a ton when people simply blow right past you.
I have full faith in kirby so I'm sure chaz is still starting for a reason, but I have to think it won' be long before he's passed over
