Parity, good or not?

The GT upset/Saban departure continues a recent trend and points to where CFB’s heading. Portal + paychecks = professional parity.
And, I still haven’t decided where I land on that. On one hand, it’ll make for a lot of upset alerts, which will be fun to see. But it also means a lot of uninspiring 6-6, 7-5 type football, even from talented teams, which will be maddening.
What say you? Is parity good for the sport or not?

That wasn’t an upset. FSU sucks

GT is 3-2 vs FSU in there last 5 meetings. Don’t over think the game.
LSU tricked people into thinking FSU was any good. They’ve sucked since crab legs.

Opposite of parity. The rich will get richer and the poor will get poorer. This was obvious to anyone with a brain when all this shite got proposed years ago.

I wasn't aware Ga-Tech had a top 5 portal class, like FSU.

Brent Key had GaTech coming on last season. He's also an old OL coach and they manhandled a so-called talented D-line for 4 quarters with the running game. No smoke and mirrors with this win. I suggest you may need a larger sample size to make your point.

Y'all brought in a bunch of portal kids too, and Sark had a double-digit win season at texsa, which is absolute parity.
You'd think you'd be all in.

FSU was in the 80s in terms of national ranking of returning production.
Tech returned 4 of 5 starters from a good offensive line.

The reason the portal has worked well to date is bc there has been a glut in supply thanks to the extra COVID year, I think you’re going to see things start drying up after this season as that goes away unless the decision is made to extend eligibility which could happen.

This is the correct take.
