Seems cheap given his track record at TCU and A&M.

I dislike how he left and who he left to but no denying success.

So it’s true they made him pay the buyout or part of it, he must have really hated Aggieland.
Still crazy how no players followed him when he left TCU and when he left Aggie. Players must hate him as much as he hates Aggieland

Cheap? With the buyout to A&M they just committed almost 18 M to a HC. I’d doubt anyone in the country is anywhere close to that. Lsu only gave Jay 12.5 M after winning a title.

The satisfaction of taking A&M's most successful head coach in 85 years is worth every penny.

What about Tennessee’s new coach?

So when A&M first hired Schloss I had a feeling this wasn't going to end well.

I don't think it had anything personal to do with the rivalry thing, I think Del Conte and Schloss were bound to end up back together.

I'm glad we have Schloss but I wish we could have hired him from somewhere else.

$1M/yr first 2 years then $2.68M the 5 years after

Why.....?

To save money if they can him after 3 years or something?

Schloss had a lot of success, but let’s not get carried away. Pat Henry and other national winning coaches at A&M exist.

Probably a deduction to cover the A&M buyout.

Why would he agree to that, if Texas wanted him they should pay the buyout, not him.

Because in the long run he’s still getting a 60% raise and resetting the market.

Insiders were all saying that that was what happened, this just confirms it

Not really that crazy, players aren't usually super loyal to a head coach in this situation, especially if a position coach from his staff is promoted.

Tell that to Jayden Daniels. He come from AZ when Jay did.

But seriously, I think 4 left from Zona to Lsu.

Jayden was an ASU kid, not Arizona. He left after Herm got fired and the bowl ban.
