4 quarters of the 1995 game and first 2 of the 1996 game.

This cemented Spurrier being 10x the coach as Fulmer.

That’s almost as amazing as 645 threads in 37 months.

You sure about that? It would take 10 Spurriers to weigh as much as one Fulmer.

It’s like Spurs didn’t just quit on a UofSC program mid season.

Fired once and resigned once after the season. Spurs just quit on a team.

4-3 defense against 4 receivers with wide splits. It was like the Polish with their Sabres against the Germans in tanks.

Why are you crying about games played decades ago? Two threads on the front page?!

And FWIW, neither Peyton nor Fulmer were responsible for Defense. There’s a reason Chavis was never as beloved as he should’ve been given everything else he did. He rarely had a plan for Florida.

The whole spurrier, Fulmer thing is baffling. Especially during the Peyton years. It wasn’t like Florida was the ‘85 Bears defensively. They were usually middle of the pack in the sec but would shut down the UT offense which nobody else would come close to doing. The 97 Florida team, which was far from one of spurriers best, meh, no problem against senior Peyton manning.

Fulmer was scared of Spurrier, he coached not to lose against Florida which resulted in a bunch of losses despite having equal or more talent.

Spurrier once put 52 on LSU, throwing deep & often every pass in the 4th quarter. His last game as a college head coach, LSU took a knee twice inside the 5 in the last minute. LSU runs it up Spurrier-like & LSU would have put 52 on his arse in his last game. He quite the following week. I was screaming for the RB's to get out of bounds to stop the clock.
