2017 - The first team in the history of Tennessee football to lose 8 games in a season...Coach was fired before the season ended. Do you have any idea how rare it is for Tennessee to lose to both Kentucky and Vanderbilt in the same year...because this team accomplished that. - So...not one of "UT's higher quality teams"
2019 - Lost to Georgia State in Neyland...then lost at home to a BYU team that would barely finish above .500. - Also...not one of "UT's higher quality teams"
2021 - New coach...lost to Pitt at home...lost to sub .500 Florida by over 3 tds. Lost to a mediocre and unranked Purdue team in the bowl game to finish 7-6. A better team than the two mentioned above...but still not one of "UT's higher quality teams"
2023 - Only "decent" team on this list. To finish the season 9-4 with Joe Milton under center is a great accomplishment for this coaching staff.
