Alex McPherson went perfect last year, probably gets the nod.
Peyton Woodring at Georgia will be a very good sophomore.
Looking for Max Gilbert to be very good at Tennessee.

Not surprising. Auburn is known as Kicker U.

Bama picked up the Lou Groza Award winner from last year in the portal. I'd say he's probably in the running. ;-)

Yea, and having a stud NFL kicker for an older brother doesn’t hurt.

They rank him as the top kicker in college…but he hasn’t kicked in the SEC yet. We’ll see.

Kentucky's Alex Raynor was a Lou Groza watch list guy last season. I expect him to be pretty good this season.

There were the Carlson brothers and Cody Parky before.

Unfortunately, McPherson may not be able to kick this year. He has been sidelined with a GI illness.

Towns is badass as well, so Auburn has no worries. Towns was offered a full ride to Ole Miss and turned them down to walk on at Auburn. He is a stud. I’ve seen him compete.

SEC notoriously has the most difficult uprights to kick through.

He had two years in 70% range, then balled out last year.
He’s 1 for 3 from 50+…with a 52 long. (The lack of attempts and lack of success in this range is pretty telling.)
If you don’t think SEC games are bigger pressure cookers than Miami (Ohio) games are…then OK.

LSU’s kicking situation is a bit worse, y’all could at least offer a top 2025 kid. LSU can’t.
I’ve never had a problem with Alabama. I like what they’re about in the SEC.

Also have a commitment from the #1 high school kicker for next year.

Bama with a competent kicker is no fun.

I hate to make fun of the kid, but… it sounds like he just doesn’t have the stomach for SEC football.
Thank you, and tip your waitress.
