The thread about Kirby possibly retiring got me thinking... which teams have the oldest coaches who might be closest to retirement?

Kirby is 48, so realistically he's probably a decade away. Here are the SEC coaches by age.

Pittman - 62
Kelly - 62
Stoops - 57
Freeze - 54
Venables - 52
Sark - 50
Deboer - 49
Kiffin - 49
Smart - 48
Beamer - 47
Heupell - 46
Elko - 46
Napier - 44
Lea - 42
Drink - 41
Lebby - 40

Pretty young group overall. Kirby's been at his school second longest (behind Stoops), but he's pretty much in the middle of the pack age wise.

I don't think Pittman makes it to a voluntary retirement, but he might call it a career when he gets fired. I'm still hoping UGA can hire him as an OL coach after Arkansas gets rid of him.

I didn't realize how young Drink actually is.

I don’t see Sam coaching past this job in any capacity. He has his place on the lake in hot springs and seems to have his shite together. I’d like to see him go out a winner because he’s a good man, but odds are against him.

I’m disgusted by the hatred a portion of our fanbase throws his way, but it it’s not a surprise.

Man. Smart is set up for a Saban like career if he wants it. 24 years younger than the GOAT. Smart needs 5 more Nattys and 9 more SECS

Y'all have a bad fanbase but it's mostly the online part. Hog fans in real life are good people for the most part

It's likely that a large segment of the Arkansas fanbase dislikes Pittman just because of his large breasts.

Do you feel there is a lot of anti-man tit prejudice surrounding his tenure?

As much like to shat on the piggies, Titboss does seem like a really good dude.

I’ve heard nothing about that. I think fans feel like we should be more competitive than we are now. Look at bert, he makes Sam look like Twiggy…

So there are no bitterly divided contingents of Arkansas fans who are PosiTits and another who are NegaTits who violently act out real life atrocities on each other to further their side's interests?

Another reason BAMA made the right choice. Coach DeBoer is a 20-year overnight success. Coach Saban had a similar career path due to his NFL career. It wasn't until he made his name in BR that Coach would have been on the Crimson radar. Washington is that marquee job that makes Coach DeBoer the man. Maturity and experience will serve Coach DeBoer well.

I doubt he sticks around for more than 10 years.

15 years seems like a long, long career these days. By 10 years, most big-money head coaches better have a natty in the bank or be the head coach of Kentucky.

You think he retires from burnout or tries his hand at the NFL level for a new challenge?

Why don’t you think he will stick around for longer? He has it made in the shade.
