Oklahoma and Texas-that they belong in the SEC?
Tennessee-that last year wasn't a fluke and CJH can lead them out of the wilderness?
Georgia-now that Saban is gone can Kirby erase that Bama mental block and reclaim the SEC?
Alabama-that nothing changes and DeBoer keeps the dynasty rolling?

Now that Saban is gone, we all have to wonder who Kirby is going to copy now.

Georgia has two National Championships since Alabama last won one.
I think we have proven what needed to be proven.

And for the record? I am willing to lose to Alabama for the next 50 years straight if we win National Championships 2 out of every three years.

Georgia isn't at a place that needs to prove anything, neither is bama...both schools are on the top rung of the ladder right now, with a small handful of other schools.

UTk was 9-4 last year. Right?

I’d replace Tenner and Georgia with Ol Miss and Mizzou.

We do have something to prove we need to start making the SECCG
Until then we aren’t there.

That was my thinking, too. But Alabama fans are going off the rails now that Saban has retired.

"keeps the dynasty rolling..."

Bama has lost 2 games per season for the last 3 seasons. I'd say a better way to word that is, 'can he get the dynasty back to rolling since its currently at a dead standstill."

I think he was referring to last year..not taking a shot at Kirby or Georgia. Or maybe he was talking about the lopsided head to head results.

Yes and what is so impressive about that? Even Drinkwitz's team beat Heupel's team.

I wouldn’t. Ole Miss and Mizzou are underdog programs, UGA and 10er C have massive stadiums and expect more out of their programs. I’d say they have more to prove. The Vols in particular. Mizzou and Ole Miss, are doing pretty damn well for they what they got.

I didn't take it that he was taking a shot at Georgia. I was mainly answering his question. Yes, there have been lopsided results. Nobody can (or should) argue that. But, I would rather win a title than any head to head match up with any given school. You win titles and nobody thinks you should have to prove anything. Nobody felt like Alabama had something to prove when they did not ThreePeat. Nobody should think Alabama has anything to prove now. But I am not here to defend Alabama.

It just seem surreal that so many Alabama fans down voted my post because i said we had won 2 of the last 3 titles.

Not necessarily anything to prove, but everyone wants to know what a Saban-less Bama team looks like.

I have a feeling it will look much the same as last year, maybe even better in a few areas. I think the dynasty may be near it's end, but also think anyone hoping for a huge decline is kidding themselves.

Here’s my reasoning. 2022 season Ol Miss & MU ended unranked. 2023 final rankings had them at #9 & #8 respectively. Composite preseason rankings have them at #5 & #8 respectively. One year fluke or real progress? That’s something to prove. MU rallied around STP in 2023 and I’m pretty sure no one is resting on fragile one year laurels.

Georgia of late has consistently proved it. Does anyone expect them to flop in 2024? Of course not. They’ve proved it and deserve it! No one doubts them.

Tenner finished the 2022 season at #6 and the 2023 season at #17. Preseason 2024 composite has them at #14. Expectations of their program have fallen from 2022 and remained fairly steady 2023 to 2024. What are they proving?

Missouri.

Mizzou has to prove last year wasn’t a one-off fluke season.

UGA has won 2 of the last 3 national titles. Hard to say they have much to prove.

They have high expectations. But that's because UGA coaches DON'T have to prove they can recruit or coach at a championship level. They've already proven they do that. Now they just need to execute.

For real. Bama people just have such a hateboner for UGA these days it's kind of odd. I mean think about it this way:

Bama won back to back titles in 2011 and 2012, then had a "down" year in 2013 by starting 11-0 but ultimately not ending where they wanted. Do you think anyone in the right mind would say bama sure had a "lot to prove" goign into 2014?

You can ask "can they bounce back", you can say "how will they respond after the end of last season"..sure. But having something to "prove"? Buddy UGA doesn't have shite to prove to anybody right now.
