so much so even the players use it -

We have no problem with horns down as long as we arent held to a different standard. The only reason it ever went to the league office in the Big 12 is because we were penalized against Texas tech for doing "guns down" after they had been doing horns down all game.
Shouldnt be an issue in the SEC bc they wouldnt pull that lame crap with the guns down to begin with.

Yes, Sankey did discuss the horns down sign at the retreat. After discussion, CDC delivered to Sankey the written policy that will be published to the SEC soon. The policy states,
Horns down by fans will be acceptable, enjoy.
Horns down by teams on the sidelines will be acceptable.
Horns down on the field of play may or may not be a penalty only after consultation with Texas.

This is a pussified penalty, and I will be disappointed if they implement it. This is the SEC. There's no crying in the SEC.

ZERO longhorns, whether its alumni, current students, players, faculty, fans, nobody gives a shittt about the horns down. We don't want it to be penalized because nobody cares but for some reason some of you think we get so offended by it. LOL
