National reaction is turning negative toward Schloss and Texas

I am already seeing a backfire. While certain fan bases are dunking on A&M and laughing at them, I am also seeing alot of hostility towards Schloss and the Longhorns. And it isn't just coming from A&M fans. A lot of media figures are calling him a liar and are really mad at how he spoke to that reporter last night
Furthermore, hiring your best friend does not usually result in success. CDC ignored that time honored rule.
This new relationship is starting off under a cloud of negativity even greater than the USC Kiffin hire.
I bet it ends the same way too.

Not remotely the same situation. He came from the NFL, where he failed miserably. It would only be comparable if you hired him from Auburn right after they had been in a national championship game.

this deal was done weeks ago..
AD Trev Alberts fired 2 operations guys who Schloss really liked without talking to Schloss.. and he apparently Schloss didn’t like working for him..
He likes working for CDC.
On what planet is that wrong?
As for why he was pissed last night.. the Aggies just lost the game and bringing up a potential coaching change only hurts the players.. you can’t wait another day?
Texas didn’t leak that Pierce got fired.. Pierce leaked it.. Texas would have leaked it at the beginning of the CWS if they were trying to hurt this NC run. Think about it…

Every coach in the SEC left another job for their current job. Schloss left TCU for a&m. Business as usual is fine for everyone but Texas.

I think there is an underlying narrative here as well.
Tennessee's team has the reputation as the bad guys the brash team that you may want to root against. Through it all Texas A&M were shown as maintaining their composure, cool, calm, and ultimately likeable, right?
So for him to bail on the team the day after leaving the All-American team that middling fans would have been cheering for if they had no skin in the game just yesterday that's shitty on anyone's radar.
