I’ve got better questions. Why can’t Auburn beat Georgia? Why is Auburn reduced to talking about games that were played years ago?
I think we all know the answers to these questions.
It’s simple. Auburn Sucks! And they have sucked for years and years. And despite hiring a disgraceful, morally challenged guy as their latest HC nothing is going to change.

Funny everyone laughed at Brain Kelly and LSU for doing this exact thing from jump. Why would you pay millions on transfers? Oh, when you're desperate and reaching for ANY help bc your high school recruiting is shite (Ole Miss, Texas A&M) and only trying to win RIGHT NOW. BK is about high school recruiting, keeping those players, and developing/paying those kids so they don't transfer.

People laugh at Brain because he makes silly noises and averages 4 losses a season.

Yes, Nick Fairley's cheating hits did have a big impact on Murray's ability to win games.
He was a shite person.

Even 14 years later a sure fire way to rustle the leg jumpers jimmies every single time.

I don't know how Bama/CKD intend to operate NIL & the portal.
IMO operating a system like UGA & LSU feels like the appropriate way to manage a roster.
In the perfect world, the portal is used as a band-aid not a tourniquet. The lion's share of NIL funds should go to the guys that stick with their team, mature within the program and gain experience while getting a solid education, rather than the globe hopping mercenary seeking the highest bidder. In other words, show some loyalty (NIL $$) to the players that are loyal to the program.

Fairley is one of the only college football players worthy of disparaging as a horrible human being due to his conduct on the field. I find it odd you want to call attention to the fact that he was an Auburn player, but yes you can successfully pull a comment from me by posting about him as if he were something to be proud of.
His blatant attempts at injuring other players intentionally with dirty plays (including but by no means limited to Aaron Murray) is worth scorn. It was the furthest thing from a surprise when he got arrested for threatening someone with a firearm. That was a very "Nick Fairley" kind of action.
He's a scummy player and person.

Georgia will never forget the thuggish behavior of Nick Fairly, the showboating of a bought and paid for Cam Newton or water hoses turned into the visitors stands in 40 degree weather after UGA beat a ranked AU. This is just a few of the things that turned what was once a friendly rivalry
( Dooley and Erk Russell were AU grads and Dye was a UGA grad) into a game were completely and totally destroying AU - not just beating them - is the goal.

Fairley is the absolute worst player I have ever seen. He should have been arrested. It was assault and battery- not playing football. He is a scumbag and AU loved him. And that’s not a surprise. They love signing thug players other schools have kicked to the curb

You must not have seen that game. I was there. It was a brutal assault. Fairley was deliberately trying to hurt Murray as well as other players. He was totally out of control.
The cops should have handcuffed him and given him a ride to the Clark Co jail.

a bought and paid for Cam Newton
(edit) NBC Sports article on Cam investigation.
(edit2) Also, the FBI interviewed some Mississippi State boosters as well. No findings there either.

Well, your fans shouldn't have tried to storm the field. Also, nothing smells as bad as a wet dog.

I’d liked to have see how tough Fairley was sitting in a cell block with some really tough guys. Without his helmet, padding and team to back him up he would have shown everyone what a fat scared punk he really was. He would have been crying for his mama as soon as they put him in the cell

Ah yes, a DL who was All-SEC and All-American that season surrounded by the DUI, Public Intox, and weed possession guys locked up on a game weekend in Clark County.
I'm sure he would have been scared shitless..

Thirty or forty fans running onto the field is hardly rushing the field. And turning a water cannon into the stands in 40 degree weather on people who are NOT going on the field is classless.
And I’m sure AU covered their tracks really well in the Cam scandal. Everyone knows y’all bought Cam. No use denying it.

He would have been terrified. His fellow inmates would have shown him what tough really is. He was pretty brave when he was all padded up, helmeted and surrounded by his teammates. It would have been a different story when he came up against some guys who realized what a sniveling coward he really was
It’s all history now but the damage was done and it’s lasting.
There is nothing UGA fans love much more than beating the tar out of Auburn. And for over 20 years we have been doing just that
