Why Kelly and not any other HC? Reason is he created his own mess at LSU. Then there is his average record of losing 3 games a season and losing a game or two that his team is favored. This is why Notre Dame fans were happy to see him leave Notre Dame.
Fisher is no longer at Texas A&M. Right now Kelly is at LSU and many fans are happy he is there.
There are other coaches that are questionable like Freeze, Napier, and Pittman. This year fans will be keeping an eye on those coaches and see what the results will be for them at their current school.

That's better than any of the other coaches, outside of Kirby. DeBoer also but he hasn't coached in the SEC yet.
Your coach averages 5.25 losses per year.

Literally every coach does this.

Congrats on having the equivalent of every coach.

I mean every coach does it, weird to attack BK as if he's the only one losing games he's favored in.

That isn't the point! He has done it all his coaching career at Notre Dame and now at LSU. How the heck is Kelly going to ever win a championship if he does that every year.

How will any coach win a championship when they all do it?

Was it bullshite when he said it? I want a running count of the Alabama fans who think Brian Kelly is full of shite for saying what he said and Nick Saban wasn't.
Nothing he said was bullshite. Alabama did not have a collective for that recruiting class, so he wasn't buying players with it. At the time, I think A&M was the only one with a collective.
He didn't like the shite so he retired, and I don't blame him. It's the entire reason he left the NFL, and now college football has turned into that.
If BK said - frick this shite, I'm not dealing with it anymore, I wouldn't blame him either. The entire thing sucks arse, but don't pretend like you aren't playing ball after you strike out.
Ya'll are so full of shite it's coming out of your eyes. Pre-NIL and Post NIL head coaches knew and know now what amount of money or other inducements it would/will take to get a certain player to sign. Was Saban paying players? You're God damn right he was. Maybe not from his own pocketbook. But did he know what it would take to get them to sign? Absolutely. Were there buffers between him and the bag men? Absolutely. But he knew what it would take and made sure it happened.

Most of them knew what kind of a HC BK is when he couldn't win a championship at Notre Dame. His record at Notre Dame and now at LSU proved he doesn't have the ability to be a championship caliber HC.

Didn't LSU fans get the message from Notre Dame fans when Kelly left to be LSU HC?

I think the derision of Kelly is based on concerns of the potential he has at LSU. The fact that he failed to perform at a high level at Notre Dame is a concern but it needs context....Notre Dame has some constraints that do not exist at a normal program. That alone forces the question that given those constraints and the success he did have at ND is it not plausible that removing those constraints would lead to more success? There is also the recent history at ND...not great considering their sense of themselves and many in the CFB world....that includes several coaches, not just Kelly.
The derision also dismisses the mess Kelly inherited. If he never wins a natty (doubtful he doesn't) he has DEFINITELY righted the ship when it as about to hit the rocks and sink....in the same sense that Mark Richt did at UGA. I want to see Kelly and LSU fail miserably 'cause they ain't UGA but realistically pretending that LSU ain't in a good spot, especially considering where they were just a few years ago, is just foolish. Its one thing to deride Kelly simply because he is at LSU...thats fine....but to actually mean it is probably not being realistic....

More wins here through 27 games than Saban had.
Much better here through 2 years than he was in South Bend.
When bama comes here it will be Kylo Ren on the other sideline, not Darth Vader.

The problem I would be having at his point is, where is he going? And I noticed you didn't bother to put up the first few years of Les Miles's record and I don't blame you.
I don't like what he's building. When Coach Saban was in BR who was wondering about that in year 3, regardless of the record? Frankly, LSU just isn't scaring anyone. Your football program looks like Tennessee and Ole Miss for my money.
Where's the balance? Where's the toughness? Man, your program used to be scary. Do you ever miss that?

Les took over a hilariously better situation

A lot of people actually, his 3rd year at LSU was his worst team.

You don’t watch the games. How far they’ve come from the late O era is impressive.

He also had teams crapping in their pants. He coached what he had, and he had plenty of talent that he brought in and it wasn't pleasant for opponents. And he sustained it for a decade. Quit hating on the best coach you had.

Your defense is jelly. Your defense is much worse than any of Les Miles's offenses. Bringing up Red Bull is just the Cajun's coping mechanism these days.

Our defensive staff has been dog shite since Aranda left for Baylor. That started with Orgeron. We've had a revolving door at DL coach for several years, which has been detrimental to recruiting. We didn't have a DL coach last year because the guy on staff had a serious illness. Kelly's first defensive staff hirings were poor. That has been rectified, but it's going to take a couple of years before it shows up on the field via recruiting and development.

Won't make it go away. Les Miles didn't lose a regular season OOC game for a decade. A decade stupid. The BAMA vs LSU game went nuclear. You are talking about the most anticipated game in college football when that game went prime time for a decade and everyone from LeBron James to Condoleezza Rice made the "game of the century." Each game was nothing less than brutal combat for 4 quarters between the top 10 and usually the top 5 teams.
Stay in denial. But know your Cajun history bayou by.
