OK Vols, let's do this.
I am prepared to see lots of orange jerseys running around the bases this weekend, mostly those with a T on them. We need to hopefully scratch out a win on Sunday to keep hope alive. Wait make that Saturday, since this is a Th-Fr-Sa series.

I don't like the gauntlet we are facing with Tenn then UK. But it is what it is. We'll see what this team is made of for sure.

After 50 games I think I am pretty sure.
Everyone loves to point out how Ole Miss was the last team chosen in the post season and won it all, as if that is going to ever happen again. But hey that one time...

It happened before Ole Miss too.
2007 OSU was the defending champion, but also tied in 6th (10-14) in the Pac (only 9 teams) and barely snuck in as a 3 seed. They lost 3 of their last 4 series.
Then the very next year, Fresno St, won it all as a 4 seed. They were 29-27 before winning the WAC and earning an auto qualifier. They won 6 elimination games along the way too.

Stop it. I am not getting my hopes up. I don't care what you say.

You shouldn't. It's a 1 in a million shot, but still a shot.

Tennessee at Florida
PROJECTED STARTING PITCHERS:
Tennessee GR - LHP Chris Stamos - 6'4" 209 lb (3-0, 2.89 ERA)
Florida RSO - LHP Pierce Coppola - 6'8" 255 lb (0-2, 10.50 ERA)
Looks like Tennessee will be padding their SEC leading home run total.
They trail Austin Peay nationally by 6 home runs.
Let's Go Peay!

It's going to get ugly this afternoon.

Yeah he has only pitched 6 innings, so a small sample size, and they have all been vs SEC teams the last 3 weeks. He was better in his last outing vs Arkansas going 3 innings. Sully has his pitches limited because he is coming off an injury. He gave up a solo shot, but retired the other 9 batters he faced in the first 3 innings, then walked the lead off hitter in the 4th, so Sully pulled him after 58 pitches.
He faced 11 batters, struck out 6, gave up a homer and a walk. He was getting ahead of almost every batter and had pretty good stuff, but that was Arkansas. Tennessee is a much more potent offense.

Florida played Arkansas tough on the road, which ought to give Gator fans hope that they do even better against UT at Gainesville. However, the Hogs and the Vols are very different teams, so maybe Gator fans should say a prayer for their pitchers (or donate some Spider Tack to the cause).

Wonder how many games get affected by weather. Tornado season in full effect.

Yeah there is supposed to be heavy rain in Gainesville from 6-8pm tonight.

Any Arkansas fans coming to Lexington tomorrow for the series are going to be in for a very inhospitable welcome from UK fans.

How does UK feel about game 1 vs Hagen smith?
Posted on 5/2/24 at 5:47 pm to bigDgator

These storms decided to be dicks today and just sit and not move. Game might not be played tonight
