Gus got plenty of talent.
Gus couldn’t develop the talent or didn’t bring talent that matched his system. He also woefully neglected the OL.

Gus could recruit circles around Harsin. Your narrative is quite peculiar.
As for Gus's program it was clean as a whistle. He had 4 get busted for weed possession in 2017, but that was it for the last 5 years of his career.
Harsin being some disciplinarian isnt the reason the admin hated Harsin. They hated harsin because he decided to blow off recruiting days at local high schools like Central when the schools were loaded with athletes.

Discipline or recruiting violations were never a problem with Gus. His shortcomings were different. More about gaps in areas of need like offensive line. But his kids behaved and he never even had a whiff of trouble regulation wise.
Yeah he ran a clean program. Just not a consistently winning one.
