Bulls head coach Billy Donovan is a serious name to monitor for the Kentucky head coaching vacancy. Donovan started his coaching career with Kentucky as an assistant from 1989-1994. With Chicago approaching another roster reset, Donovan could be tempted to jump back to college with the current NIL landscape.
Billy D bitches!
It’s happening!!!

The funniest thing about this whole thread….Mike’s still stuck with Cal for another year. That’s like taking a knee to the Easter eggs on a rebound but still getting called for a foul.
I would like to apologize to you,
Mike, for this post from a week ago. I clearly did not take into account the sheer stupidity of the Arkansas leadership. Congrats…KY is a force once again

Not anyone's first choice. But he might be tired of the NBA. Not sure if he's ready for NIL though. But he's already coaching millionaires, so really not a difference.

Looks like he is the coach. He has said he is interested. We are going to have to wait till next week to get him.
Hurley is turning down the $100 million offer.

You'll take a mid-major

Can Kentucky afford to wait on Donovan?

I beg to differ. This dude can flat out coach. I know you youngsters think Florida athletics hung the moon but its quite the opposite. Florida had never been anything in basketball until Donovan. They were a legitimate doormat. Fricker won 2 titles...back to back. Again, as much as I love Oats, given the choice I'll take Donovan.

Kentucky isn’t going to drop to taking a mid major. It’ll be a Power 5 or NBA guy.

Why wouldn't they?

Good question…but, it looks like we have to. I know the portal is going on, but, I am sure if he is the coach, we can get players. Next year is going to be a wash without Drew and Hurley.

If UK scores Donovan they definitely upgraded ... he's an excellent coach.

Don’t forget, Pitino was the 3rd option after Lute Olsen and PJ Carlemeso turned us down.

It’s are only option right now…people close tomDonovan said he has a lot of interest in the job and is sick and tired not having the ability to get his own players in the NBA.

It’s the only option for a tier one coach.
Sounded like Oats was interested, but a family situation is happening right now and the timing is off (I am sure Bama fans will say it’s bullshite, but sounds like he has to be in Bama).

Oats wants it. He will take it for 9 million a year if UK offers it.
