The 33 mil might get knock-down-negotiated to 15 mil. But still, why not get asked to leave and gain payout?

Because competitors don't lay on the couch when they're 65 and die

Plus he can coach the next five years at a great historic basketball school, with his son, and propel his son's career.

Maybe the Arky guys will weigh in

My perception of Muss was always that he likely grated on people, was prone to emotional swings, had a man child disposition - true or not now that you're on the other side of him?

There are literally zero bad stories about Muss here in NWA, and everybody adored his wife. She did media promos in both Washington and Benton Counties.

I believe this. It will make him feel good for now but later he'll wish he'd taken a buyout with a lot of free time on his hands.

Harry you are the best friend a man could ask for. You have to watch Rohan. If you aren’t careful he will fish in your hole when he’s in the back of the boat. I let him claim that big bass. That’s what friends are for. Hope to see you soon. Herman.
Ps. I had a heart procedure Thursday. Everything is going good now. It’s what happens when you get old.

I’ll say the Kentucky fans pissed him off. They were taking him for granted. Now he gets to have a clean slate at Arkansas and not have to put up with the fans belittling him because everyone knows fans know more than coaches.

I guess.

Ed and Jimbo took the cash. I painted Calipari as in a similar mold.

Why didn't Nick do the same?

Why would Cal leave Ky and a 33 mil buyout and a lifetime job as ambassador for the school in order to take a 5 year job at about the amount of that buyout.

Muss and has family was treated well and much appreciated by the general fans.

Any problems he had was behind the scenes with the AD, boosters, or both.

Also, he coached this season like he was making it his last at Arkansas.

I'll miss the dude.
