Tubby won one national championship. Calipari won one national championship. In the last twenty fire years, Kentucky has only won one national championship. Could you imagine how much shite would be thrown here it Alabama had only won one national championship in football in the last 25 years? People here would scream from the roofs what a shitty job it was.
I question why so many here still seem to believe Kentucky is THE top job. A top ten job? Sure. The top job?
Tubby was head coach for 4 years at Tulsa (52-20; .722) and 2 years at Georgia (45-19; .703). He won a national championship his first year at Kentucky and then never sniffed another. Calipari was more accomplished. He was 189-70 (.730) at UMass and 214-68 (.759) at Memphis. And like Tubby, he had early success winning his one national championship in his third year. Yet neither was able to sustain that level of success, a level demanded at Kentucky. That seems to be a theme, early success and then stagnation.

Kentucky had to win the NC, not be voted in to face some other supposed "elite" team of the year for those 25 years.
Thing happen when you have to win 6 games in a three period without a month plus to prepare for one opponent.
One program has real NCs awarded by the NCAA.

That’s a whole lot of word salad to say you don’t have a clue what you’re talking about.

Complete apples and oranges. We just saw a very good Auburn team get bounced in the first round while an Alabama team that won like 4 of their last 10 go to the Final Four.
