A blue chip basketball prospect that is a junior in high school has no fricking clue who Nolan Richardson is. He has never heard of 40 Minutes of Hell. You’re just the University of Arkansas to that kid unless he goes on Recruiting Visit and gets bombarded with your history. Don’t have to cherry pick stats. Your basketball program hasn’t matters in that young man’s lifetime.

Has it ever mattered to a kid? Recruits want to go where they’ll get playing time, coaching to get to the pros, and now, the most NIL money.
Not to mention, Arkansas just recently sent three McDonald’s All-Americans to the NBA. (Amongst other players) Guaranteed a lot of high school recruits know about Arkansas.
History and tradition is just ammunition for fans to talk shite about.

There's no cherry picking here. Arkansas is not even superior to FLORIDA. Just because you want something to be true does not make it true.
The truth is Arkansas has been about average (and that is generous) with the rest of the conference for 30 years. That's longer than current college students have been alive.
