Apparently Cal did a program this afternoon with some generic comments about grinding harder on defense. No hint he is considering retirement. Apparently, according to Twitter, this year’s team didn’t even have a set practice time; the coaching staff just called them in whenever they felt like it and could fit it in their schedules. Like I said, next year will be really ugly.

He’s not going to retire and Mitch isn’t going to fire him this season. They’ll rework the contract, create some bigger expectations to keep the job, overhaul the staff, and if he doesn’t right the ship next season he’s gone.

Didn't big twat Mike say he was gone for sure?

I have always believed Cal was likely coming back. Our AD does not rock the boat. Now I don't think Cal would get the benefit of the doubt if he flops this hard next year.
I'm honestly indifferent at this point. There's recruiting perks to keeping Cal but holy shite has the last 4 been underwhelming

Sounding like our Tiger Board friends with excuses and next year.

Don’t give someone a lifetime contract and expect him to give a shite

Maybe not. Cal was great once. Maybe some of that greatness still exists.
