Is that not a form tackle? How else to better tackle someone?

It's so funny because the graphics just look like how you're supposed to tackle someone without going high. Wrap up and use your weight as leverage to get a bigger player down to the ground.

That’s not just a tackle?

This is stupid. I'm curious as to what the alternative way of tackling a guy from behind would be?

Just take the entire defense off the field. Seems like that's what we are going towards

I believe that's the "Bo Jackson injury" tackle.

A classic form tackle is wrap-up the legs/hips and drive up and through — not wrap-up the torso and rip down.

Although sometimes in the heat of the moment, you have to do what you have to do.

So don’t be “dead weight” but rather run along side of the player allowing him to gain yards after contact? Just fricking wow…

NFL has taken anything from the should up as a targeting, in a practical sense.

Now they've taken out this style which had gained in favor due to the above.

We will keep moving down the body of the ball carrier. Teams will devise ways to neutralize and eliminate knees. This will be the new target area.

And we will see a host of new prominent knee injuries.

At this point, maybe it's best to go the way of rugby and maybe just go to shells and let them modify style of play that way.

Let's be real. Football is on it's last leg anyways.

It will soon convert to some form of flag style

This will encourage the hair or weave tug to slow down the runner long enough for the tackler to catch up and make a friendlier tackle.

The nannies might as well ban tackling altogether and have the National Flag Football League.

They would really clutch their pearls watching a rugby match.

It is way past time. This hip drop roll tackle should have been banned three decades ago when it became popular.
