I, like many of you, loved to hate Tim Tebow when he was in college. I taunted him with the cell phone gesture in tiger stadium in 2007.

Fast forward to present:

I have fully come around 180 degrees on him as a person. I saw him testify in front of congress this week discussing human trafficking. He was very passionate.

My question is: Does anyone else think he has a role or place in US politics? He represents everything the far left hates, but is a big name that people from both parties know of.

D.C. is a cesspool.

They'd spend every hour of the day trying to corrupt or frame him.

I think he'd rather chop off a leg.

Tim Tebow serves God not man. I don't see anyway he would wade into the cesspool that is Washington DC and American politics.

He's doing exactly what he should be doing and hopefully he doesn't get corrupted by the type of sewer trach that would steer him in the direction of the filth of Washington DC.

He hasn't changed much. He's always been an upstanding citizen and man of God. You only hated him cause he wore a gators jersey.

I never disliked Tebow because I’m not a fig and I wasn’t 10 years old when he was playing at Florida. He was always a good and principled person

I would say no, simply base on how immoral and corrupt the machine is against those that oppose it.

I'd prefer to see him do like he is and represent causes that he is passionate about and can devote time to as a representative without fear of retribution or scandal.

Tebow has always been a great human being and from all accounts, he’s as genuine as they come. He worked with his parents as a missionary from a young age and this helped to teach him about humility and how to be grateful. I’ve always admired him.

He’s a great guy with immense character and bravery. I don’t think he’s the absolute sharpest tool in the shed and would likely get destroyed in the swamp. I mean this from an ability to understand complex policy/law/etc.

Honestly I’d rather just see him continue to do good for people far away from politics and continue to use his status to bring certain things to light.

He scored a 22 on the Wonderlic. 2 points above average. He's perfect for politics.

Agreed. People still crap on him because he promotes godly living through example. Its the weirdest thing. He is a great example for all young boys and men to follow.

He’s a good guy using his platform for great reasons. I’m happy his passion is focused on this to protect and shine light on trafficking.

He won’t run for office and he’s making more progress than our politicians who do nothing.

The fact that you ever thought he was a bad person back then simply due to his being on an opposing football teams says a lot about you.

Tebow should start with running for mayor of Jville. Truly get that area on the right track and then move on up from there.

Not a fan of caring to put much for reps/senators, as those are jobs that once you win the popularity contest you do absolutely nothing but keep your face in front of the camera. Im pretty much done supporting people that come up that way with no actual real life experience running something to look at.
