Yup. They needed each other. Each is great in his own right. Waters is immensely creative and has a keen understanding of music depth, and Gilmore is a tremendous musician who understands melody and overall sound. Plus Gilmore kept Waters in check from going too off the rails. This is why Final Cut doesn’t live up to the previous albums; it delves too deep into the obscure while lacking grandness and structure.

Together they were musical perfection.

With that out of the way, he is a brilliant songwriter AND bassist. I can't stand RW the person, but he is responsible for the greatest run of records in modern music history (Darkside, Wish, Animals {GOAT}, Wall, Cut). Meddle is decent, but the stuff before that was interesting but not great. After RW left, PF was just a shell of atmospheric music without the creative depth that he brought to the band.

There’s plenty of reasons to not feel good after that game.

How is this getting downvoted? When we should be playing with killer instinct we have a coach decide to pump breaks instead. It's not as if we were up 40 points; 24 is in range of a comeback. That was some weak, low energy coaching there, and that the Giants almost brought this to overtime is proof of that.
