Kentucky or Florida would eliminate each other in a Sweet 16
Same for Tennessee and South Carolina
Same for Miss State and Alabama
ACC on the other hand? Spread out all over the bracket so that an ACC team would not meet against another ACC team until the Elite Eight
Big 10? Almost the same. Only Wisconsin and Nebraska could eliminate each other in Sweet 16, the other four are spread out to avoid Big10 versus Big 10 until the Elite Eight

that one time 4 SEC teams made the tourney and the committee put Alabama Kentucky LSU in the same Region in 1986 and sent Auburn out West

Straight up bullshite. Now we get to hear how the B10/ACC were underrated.

With 8 bids for the conference it is a little more difficult to prevent potential conference match ups.
Curious how this compares to the Big 12 tho, since they also received 8 bids.

It’s also going to depend where those teams are on the seed lines.

looks like they went ahead and included new SEC member Texas in the mix basically
the subregional of 8 teams including Tennessee and South Carolina...also includes Texas
they want SEC teams out so bad they can't stand it
you just know Jay Bilas lobbied for that shite

Oddly by pairing SEC teams up like that, you guarantee one advances. If they played other teams it’s possible they all lose in the sweet 16.

my brother, there's no way Tenn/South Carolina and Florida/Kentucky in the same 8-team subregions is an accident

Uconn, a top 10 on both offense and D, gets matched with AU, the only other team ranking top 10 in both offense and defense.

As I mentioned earlier, I'd be curious how this compares to the Big 12.

And gave Auburn a death sentence.

They tried tried that in 2019, too, and Auburn gummed up the works by going on that run. They just need to do that again.

Subregion paired from Big 12 are:
BYU and Iowa State
TCU and Kansas
the other four aren't paired against Big 12's in the subregions
as I mentioned, Texas (future SEC) is paired with both Tennessee and South Carolina, in a 8 team subregion
Auburn is getting screwed and I think Florida got screwed with a 7 seed

Eh. 67 teams in the tournament are going home and ending their season with a loss.
