The man is retired. Literally nothing he says now is to his own benefit. He doesn't have to speak at all.
He's up there speaking for the sport and for those who are still coaching.
And people like you are too much of a butthurt bitch to recognize it.

Yep, LSU would win the national championship every year because they are the greatest thing ever and the only reason they don't is because of refs and other teams cheating.
OR
You're just a fricking loser who can't deal with reality.

That is absurd. Saban has chosen to be an employee of the largest publicity machine for college football, and he has a personal vested interest in promoting the system that he was so successful in because that makes him look good and makes him “right”.
I am not a Saban hater. He was absolutely the best college football coach of the last 20 years and it is not close. He had an excellent process that exploited a system that was funneling millions and billions of dollars to coaches and administrators while depriving players of the money the market said they were worth. Another positive about Saban is that I believe he genuinely worked hard to instill the best possible habits of hard work and discipline in his players and coaches. So if you put that all together he was a singularly great coach that was exploiting a flawed system.
Does that mean we should listen to him when he describes problems in how things are changing in college football? Maybe, or maybe not. Could it be he has blinders on about the best system for college football……?

The price to play has gone up.
The Bama Dodge Charger and a small bag of cash just doesn’t work now.
Gone also:
ACT cheating
Fraudulent Grades
Girlfriend scholarships
Fake jobs
Church donations
Now show me the big $.

Show me the commitment made for payment made. Give me one pro team in an organized sport, anywhere in this world, that does business this way.
That should keep you busy for a while.

Must be why BK can't field a top 100 defense, LSU broke as usual.

As for the rest, of course Saban has an interest in the game itself. Why wouldn't he? He's spent his entire life loving it and he is watching it get destroyed just like the rest of us.
I'm glad he is speaking out. If he is devoting his free time to saving college football, that's awesome. Maybe people will listen.
But it doesn't change the fact he's done coaching and he gets no personal benefit for doing it.

Allbarn is one of the dirtiest programs in history. That's an actual fact.
Bama football has been on probation three times since our last major sanctions over 30 years ago

I am sorry that it is difficult for you to process that idea that someone can be great within a system that is practically corrupt. Given you have trouble with that concept it is no surprise that you would laugh at the idea that I consider Saban a great coach while also being able to criticize the hypocrisy of some of his positions.
If you are ever able to let him down off his pedestal we could communicate about this topic of Saban and his biased efforts to keep a bad system in place. If you want to be a simpleton about this then go ahead, I am sure Saban will be glad to have another mindless sycophant hanging on his every word.

Oh please, you have no depth. All you see is someone who was successful, and as a result you just assume the worst. You have no real proof of anything you claim or believe, you just expect others to be as cynical and full of hate as you are so you can jack off in the echo chamber.
You can't even understand what the man is saying now, much less what he's said and done over the years.
Hell, the man is retired and you're still claiming he's doing shite to benefit himself. And yet I'm supposed to believe you're actually a reasonable person?
Keep on hating Auburn fan.

I guess because we aren't going to count Auburn getting away with paying Cam Newton $180k even though it made the NCAA create a new rule to prevent the "loophole"?
Sure is crazy how Alabama is able to do it constantly, but Auburn does it 1 time and it results in a huge investigation.

This is not remotely true but your inability to think about this with any depth must cause you to react this way. In your small mind it is either Saban is the great god of college football with no stain upon him, or you are a sniveling creature that hates Saban because he is successful.
Good luck with that either/or approach to life simpleton.
