You obviously don't know what you are talking about. Florida has publicly stated it's support for FSU to join the SEC since the '90s.
Maybe you aren't very well read on the subject, or you would know that FSU was all set to join the SEC decades ago and pulled the old switchero on us at the last minute and went to the ACC at the behest of Bobby Bowden. It was some bullshite back room dealing, and personally I don't think you enter into another deal with someone who has done this, but apparently Florida still isn't trying to block FSU from entering the conference.
So I guess you may be half right. I don't have any knowledge of the SC/Clemson situation, but it wouldn't surprise me if you are wrong on that as well.
But I do love an LSU schedule thread in the off-season. For some reason, LSU loves to tell everyone else how to manage their schedules. Must be something in the water.

I can see that point. But as you can see, there are some posters that just say,

It’s not a block vote where all usc and uf fans do want those two in the conference.
I thought it makes sense in a competitive way to go ahead and add them from a fans perspective (knowing that today, conferences don’t acquiesce to fans….but money). Dont let them cakewalk anymore.
I saw that ACC schedule and laughed at SMU, Cal, Stanford etc as in-conf games.
Before it left the rails by post #5, the disparagement is on that weak ACC schedule. Even laughing at LSU for getting outsmarted by fsu for a week zero game in 2022. Then shorty got her James’ rustled. Hypersensitive.
