In a nutshell, they will be fine. Not 12-0, but they will contend for/ win the west.

Next year will be interesting with them starting a new QB, Tubbs gone...Could be fighting with Ole Piss for the division.

9-3 or 10-2, serious contention for the west if they don't win it. Their offense will struggle, but you know their D isn't gonna go quietly.

they have a great schedule to go to champ game. They have virginia tech out of conference and miss both florida and georgia from the east.

9-3 to 7-5 regular season would be a fair guess, based on history and talent returning. Saban has a poor record replacing QBs so I would expect the offense to struggle and be typically one-dimensional. The defense will likely be generally stout but should suffer a letdown game or two (at least) along with the rest of the team. Depending on the timing of those letdowns, they could easily lose a game or two they shouldn't, and then lose two or three to equal/better teams (LSU, VT, Auburn, Ole Miss, Tennessee, etc.).

They lose two and win the West. And lose to Florida again.

I think this year was their chance to win it all but will weaken for a couple more years. JPW was at his best. They will still be a threat on the ground, but unless they get good QB play, they won't be as productive. They should play good D, may be in contention, but shouldn't win the west.

If we can find a decent QB and figure out where we misplaced our D, Bama won't be out bitch, but we won't be theirs either.

Not so fast! Your obviously not paying attention. We will have a replacement for Andre, should he leave. McElroy, our QB, will have better QB stats than JPW did. We will be better on the defensive line rush ends. Bottom line is we will bring it again in 2009. RTR!

It won't be easy replacing Wilson, Caldwell, Cody, and Rashad Johnson. I goofed in my preseason predictions for Bama in part because I thought Caldwell was a senior last year.

What's the word on Andre Smith and Javier Arenas?
