There was no shot fired at BK. One of the people on the McAfee show asked DeBoer if he would fake a southern accent like BK, and DeBoer said something like "That would go badly for me."

Yep. Compare what BK ended up with at LSU prior to his first Spring.
We’ve got almost a full roster as it stands, and it looks like we’ll be holding on to most of a Top 5 recruiting class.

Getting promoted from a G5 job to an SEC job is a no brainer, especially when you know if you get fired you’ll be leaving with generational wealth. Leaving a national championship contender behind to start fresh somewhere else is a whole different animal.

That's not the bar. 7 combined losses in the first 2 years of a rebuild after taking over a sub .500 team. Kirby had 7 combined losses in the first 2 years after taking over a 10-3 team. We'll see if Kelly loses 3 games next year like Smart did in year 3.
