Can you ever beat your wife enough?

Not saying much.
I’m sure Harsin v2 will be a huge success at Alabama

You know, if Auburn is hiring, I'm available for a few million.
Their seasons would turn out about the same, so what's to lose?

quote:He has one of those? Interesting. Coaches don't normally take the field. They put players in positions to succeed. The reason for his winning could be that he was fielding 5 stars that he had recruited from the SEC and if so GREAT for Bama. More likely, he was recruiting players from the same pool of possible players that all of the other schools in that division were recruiting from. He either recruited better than the other schools or he did a better job putting the players in positions to succeed on the field. Either way, GREAT for Bama.
As inconsequential as his NFL Blitz record.

Not saying much.

I have no doubt almost anyone on the Rant could've done a better job recruiting than Harsin did

Definitely hiring Harsin. Harsin walked away with a golden parachute, al for failing miserably at his job. He has no regrets.
Almost as dumb as trying to replace the GOAT with a guy from Washington and pointing to his NAIA record to support it.

quote:So the barn gave Harsin a golden parachute for accomplishing much, much LESS than the guy coming to Bama that you are attacking? Wow.
Harsin walked away with a golden parachute, al for failing miserably at his job.
quote:Coaches don't take the field in NAIA, much like they don't in the SEC right? He put players in position to succeed and they did. Sounds like he knows how to win. He took a 4-8 Washington team to 10-2 the next year and then to 14-1 the following year. In his 2nd year at Washington, he beat Texas in the playoffs (that beat Bama the SEC Champion) and then lost to Michigan in the championship game. Did Harsin ever sniff the playoffs? Did he even sniff beating Bama?

Yeah, dummy. It took the GOAT an overtime to beat him.
Good luck with your NAIA coach and I look forward to seeing your next hire in 2-3 years

quote:Thanks. How's freeze working out? That 6-7 season with a 31-10 Curb-Stomping by NM St really show's the barn is trending up, right? By the way, how many ex-coaches is the barn currently paying to not coach? The barn giving coach hiring/selection advice is like the guy paying alimony and house payments to 3 or 4 ex-wives trying to give marital advice.
Good luck with your NAIA coach and I look forward to seeing your next hire in 2-3 years
quote:That means, he lost right?
Yeah, dummy. It took the GOAT an overtime to beat him.
