That was a gritty one. Guys played well but couldn’t get runs across. Great putting by the pitching staff

Totally agree, felt like last year we didn’t pull these kinda games out. Nice to build that confidence early.

Montgomery, man. What a get. That dinger he hit today from the right side was gone when it left the bat. If the pitching staff can hold up over time, we’ll be fun to watch.

I like the change in pitching strategy. Max may have been the best hire of the off-season across baseball.

The competition gets slightly better this weekend. ASU & USC aren’t great but at least they’re names in the Pac.

Agreed. But the pitching is light years better this year. They will get mashed up from time to time this year, but we have some serious depth on the mound.

Schloss explained the schedule for this weekend.
Previously it was MSU, A&M, USC, & ASU. We didn't want to play MSU and Schloss assumed ASU & USC didn't want to play each other. The schedule was set. MSU pulled out and TCU stepped in. That is why were not playing TCU, not because the coaches are mad at each other or anything like that.
