So no ranking Cooper Bateman, Blake Barnett, or Tyler Buchner.

Here are the players we are working with then:

John Parker Wilson (2007-2008)
Greg McElroy (2009-2010)
AJ McCarron (2011-2013)
Blake Sims (2014)
Jacob Coker (2015)
Jalen Hurts (2016-2017)
Tua Tagovailoa (2018-2019)
Mac Jones (2019-2020)
Bryce Young (2021-2022)
Jalen Milroe (2023)

Ranking based only on overall college performances and achievements:
1. Tua
2. McCarron
3. Young
4. Jones
5. Hurts
6. Coker
7. McElroy
8. Sims
9. JPW
10. Milroe

If rankings go by passing abilities at the time they played at Bama, then move Hurts and Sims below JPW.

So many ways to rank based on accomplishments, natural ability, leadership, toughness, etc.

I can find great things about each of them. I don't see how AJ can't be at the top based on record. After that it gets hard.

Tua Tagovailoa
Bryce Young
Mac Jones
AJ McCarron
Jalen Hurts
Jake Coker
Blake Sims
Greg McElroy
Jalen Milroe
John Parker Wilson

I understand the roster he had around him, but Tua’s numbers are insane and on film he was the best too. I know in 2020 Mac had a higher completion percentage, but I challenge anyone to find me a guy who routinely dropped perfect dimes like Tua did. Highest career passer rating in FBS history, highest TD rate in FBS history. Robbed of a Heisman, but was Consensus AA, Maxwell winner, Walter Camp winner, etc.

A.J. was the best leader, we win in 2013 without a cheat job by refs. There were 20 horrible calls i that game, plus Saban going for it in 4th 1, with 6 minutes left, at the 7, up 7, IMHO, that was him planning on going to Texas and his head was not clear.

I do not like the Shotgun on every danged play, to me its stupid. Tua came in green, with no one expecting him to play (Clemson) and won the natty, but against Clemson in the title game he was very bad, in 2019, he was hurt a lot, he finally understands in the NFL you have to have a 3-4 second clock, but need the ball gone in 2 really. Else little QBs get hurt.

He would be 3 behind Jones, because Jones had the best season ever to me. Bryce would have won a title if not for the two WR getting injured on game day. I think Milroe is going to undersand, hes going to have to improve a lot to keep his job under Deboer.

I wonder what Bryce’s stats would Look like if he had the receivers Mac and Tua had. And wasn’t hamstrung by BOB as OC.

Regardless, I don’t know of any other program that can match the string of quarterbacks we had. Jalen to Tua to Mac to Bryce. Not even Miami or USC had a string of QB’s like that.

Before this stretch, there were only 2 Bama quarterbacks that started in the NFL that I can remember. Rutledge started a few games in the 80s after
Leading an insane comeback as the backup (I was too young
To remember him playing at Bama) and then the cup Of coffee Brodie had in the NFL. Technically Stabler Started some Games In the NFL during my lifetime, but I was too young To know/remember.

A healthy Tua would have rewritten record books. Biggest “what if” of the Saban era imo
