Colin Hitschler hired at Bama

Hitschler was heavily involved in helping land nearly half of the 22 players in UW’s 2024 class. Will coach safties and be Co-DC. He worked with new Alabama defensive coordinator Kane Wommack at South Alabama from 2016-2017. Seems like a great recruiter but not a ton of coaching experience considering the position he is hired into. LINK

Nearly half? Seems vague tbh
You’d have to be a fricking idiot to not get kids to Alabama anyway.
I think Alabama is going to be well coached compared to Saban’s Rolodex running thin at the end for coaches but hard not to wonder how their classes look from their usual star gazing.

Just because we have never heard of the coach does not make it a bad hire. Kirby has hired two or three coaches from outside of the SEC footprint, and they have worked out well
