Smith Fri
Tygart Sat
Trying to fit the Fri game in a window of clear weather, if allowed by the network. Sunday looks rough, probably 2 games Sat if allowed.

According to weather forecast in my area, west of NWA, storms will be rolling through early AM and should be out of area by afternoon I believe.

What a weekend for us to not be able to get 3 games in.
Looking at the forecast for NWA, looks like there might be a chance for a Friday night game. And Saturday during the day looks clear before storms roll in again during the evening. And Sunday looks like a total wash out.

I wouldn't sweat this one too much. DVH said he could have gone this weekend, but he wants him at 100% down the stretch.

This.
DVH is also a big believer that pitchers (especially starters) have a finite number of innings in them each year, so he’s always quicker to pull them early or rest them as needed and bank those for down the road. Hence why we really haven’t seen Hagen go past 6 this season despite consistently being in close games in his starts.

Well depending on how much ball is played this weekend, the pitchers may get some extra rest this weekend.

McEntire might be a good 3rd game option at starter. He’s done well in relief behind Smith though it seems batters find it easier to hit against him after facing Smith. Didn’t he used to be a starter, maybe last year?

I am thinking Fisher starts. McEntire is too valuable for an entire weekend. Fisher has been good to decent most of this year. He went 4 and gave up 3 ER to Texas Tech in his last start.
Overall he has a 6-1 record, 2.67 ERA, 8 BB's, 27 K's, 27.0 IP, in 7 starts. He tends to give up some hits, but always seems to limit or get no damage.

Wilmsmeyer also in the lineup

Why would you use Helfrick as the DH? That should be Sousa.

Helfrick might be a sub .200 hitter but he hits the absolute shite out of the ball every time he makes contact.
