Smart lost to Vandy his first season. Saban lost to La-freakun-Monroe his first season. This guy isn't in the same class as either. Sorry Tide fans...

8-4, best case scenario
Maaaaaybe 7-5
But more likely 6-6

Saban inherited an absolute shite show of a roster, but given your post history that’s probably too much context to expect you to comprehend lol

Alabama has had stability at the HC position since before most college students were in Kindergarten. Alabama has not had to deal with the cross state rival beating them 5 years in a row. Alabama is not under any NCAA sanctions.

All of that was the case when Saban took over.

If DeBoer isn't at 8-4 or better, the Gumps won't be happy.

But Year 2 is going to make or break the guy.

$1000 O/U at 7, you get the under. If your most likely scenario hits, you’re $1k richer. Only in the best case scenario would you lose the $1k. I’ll even give +150 odds, so my $1.5k to your $1k. We can get a “trusted” 3rd party to hold the cash.

The last coach to follow Nick Saban was Les Miles at LSU. He went 11-2 his first season.
