He could change the player's # and face.

Oh well. One Wr doesn’t make or break Alabama football.

Of course tampering took place but he reaffirmed his commitment to Bama before Saban retired. That means he was thinking about it.

Yep. Can’t wait to see his reaction to how his new team reacts to having to actually compete every single week and all their games end up looking like the Washington game they just played.

Let’s not pretend it’s for that… it’s tampering straight up. He got offered a ton of money and allegedly a lambo.. not sure if it’s true.

It’s like KD said, programs are doing to take advantage of our players at this time. Texas 100% did and likely should be looked at….

There is no point crying over this specific instance. It is done. But yes, it is time to consider football athletes contracted employees and get them contractually bound to the school. Amateurism is dead, there is no point acting like it is not. We're never going back. Schools need to protect their investment into these athletes.

We've gained more than we've lost in this system. This one is the most stinging loss we've had in the free agency era. It is still bad for the sport.

I'm more offended by what a lazy hack Hayes Fawcett is than Bond transferring.

All the details on the helmet reference Alabama.
The A logo at the v of the jersey neck.
The Alabama gloves.

The more I think about it he wanted to do this regardless. He’s not a 1st or 2nd round projected player and there are still a lot of bodies at WR here to contend with…and he’s concerned the passing game won’t be fixed with Milroe.

Texas lost Mitchell and Worthy. They throw it a lot and Ewers is back. He’s trying to get a big pay day to Texas then get to a 1st round pick. That’s all this is.

He straight up said it's purely a business decision. He didn't even meet with DeBor...who is also going to have wide receivers drafted in the first round this year. Frick him.

Of course it’s a business decision. I can’t really blame him either. People jumping jobs for higher pay is the cultural norm today. We shouldn’t expect loyalty, I’m sure he didn’t grow up a UA fan. Like others have said we will benefit more than we will suffer under these new rules.

So be it. I’m not worried about the wide receiver position going forward. Would have hurt a lot more if it was a guy like Sayin.

Since this is now a business shouldn't players start signing contracts?

Best of luck to him. You always hope the player commits to the school, but the connection with the coaches and support staff that recruited them and brought them on board is just as strong a factor, if not more so.

Best of luck to him. A talented player that made some great plays for us and a memorable 2023 season.

It sucks, but that is the way things will continue to be.

And why the hell not? Players were loyal to their respective schools up until five minutes ago. It's about time we just call a spade a spade, make these guys university employees, and tie them to the school with contracts. If they want to transfer, they or the prospective school will have to buy out the contract before they see themselves to the door. Slap a $1-3 million buyout on some of these skill position players and then see how many of them are able to transfer.

Bond will end up like that other idiot that jumped to Texas a few years ago.

Flipping burgers.
