It might be PTSD, but I want Bama to go ahead and hire someone... before they decide to call Kelly over to save the day.
Now, before you blast this, just hear me out:
-He's not in their first group of coaches, so if it drops to him they would be getting desperate. Might open the bank
-he doesn't have ties to Louisiana or LSU, his stated reason to leave Notre Dame was "to play for a title". Bama certainly fits that mold
-Bama is going to need a bridge from Saban to the future. A guy who can survive in the blast furnace that will be Tuscaloosa, and keep his shite together under a lot of pressure. Kelly's actually very well suited for that environment after more than a decade at Notre Dame, and his overall experience.
-Kelly quickly righted the ship at LSU, so we know he can work in the SEC.
I know it's unlikely, but I don't want to be sitting back laughing at the Tide, and they suddenly come with 12 mil to hijack our coach.

How fkn crazy is Norvell? Seems like FSU has multitude of issues. Wrong conference, show cause for the OC, collective disassociated, etc..

I wouldn't leave if I was Kelly. LSU is a relatively easy place to have success.
I also don't think Kelly is some huge fish that Bama would have circled as the last, throw all the money out option. They can go get Dabo with multiple titles for less. If I'm Bama I don't really see the appeal of Kelly, so that's good for you.
