Eight SEC teams in Preseason Top 14. How often will these 8 play each other next year:
Oklahoma- 6 games (Texas, Alabama, Ole Miss, Missouri, LSU, Tennessee)
Alabama- 5 games (Georgia, Missouri, LSU, Oklahoma, Tennessee)
Georgia- 4 games (Bama, Texas, Ole Miss, Tennessee)
Tennessee- 3 games (Georgia, Alabama, Oklahoma)
LSU- 3 games (Alabama, Ole Miss, Oklahoma)
Ole Miss- 3 games (Georgia, Oklahoma, LSU)
Missouri- 2 games (Alabama, Oklahoma)
Texas- 1 game (Georgia)
How did the SEC office gift Texas such an easy schedule? Georgia. That’s it. And it’s in Austin.

Wow, OU's gonna get their shite pushed in! I almost feel sorry for them.
...nah, not really. Welcome to the SEC baws!

Auburn gets 4 of these… Bama, Georgia, Oklahoma, and Missouri.
I’ll take it. Easiest schedule we’ve had in more than a decade. Plus 3 of those (Bama, UGA, and OU) play extremely difficult schedules so it could mean they might be a bit beat up.

Your new overlords.
Next step is SEC Championship game getting moved to Jerry World. Then the SEC HQ being moved to Dallas metro.

You left oU off of their schedule so it’s really two, but the point remains.
And, in fairness, they do travel to Michigan.

It's actually two (Georgia & Oklahoma).. but here is my analysis of the schedule and I think it mostly boils down to 1 game.
Tennessee or Vanderbilt
Here is the way the schedule was created for all teams
Pick 1
Texas or Oklahoma
Pick 3
Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Florida, LSU, Texas A&M
Pick 4
Everyone else
So here is the Texas Schedule
Pick 1
Oklahoma
Pick 3
Texas A&M (rivalry) or LSU
Georgia or Alabama (we just played Alabama)
Florida or Auburn (flip a coin)
Pick 4
Arkansas (rivalry) or Missouri
Kentucky or South Carolina (flip a coin)
Miss State or Ole Miss (flip a coin)
Vanderbilt or Tennessee (flip a coin)
We probably should be playing Tennessee instead of Vanderbilt because Ole Miss & Missouri are better than Arkansas and Mississippi State, but this is the thought process that I think they used to create it.
Either way, it would balance out if we played the opposite side in 2025, but that is still tbd.

We play Michigan in Ann Arbor in addition to our SEC slate. Easy schedule, my arse.

Texas plays OU too.
Not to mention they have Michigan in OoC play.
Playing the two most recent national champs is tough no matter what your bias.
Curious how many other 2024 SEC teams have a top 5 opponent for OoC play? Or a top 10?

There was actually a theory for it. Don't quote me verbatim, but the SEC basically crunched the numbers for both Texas and OU going back X amount of years in the Big 12 and calculated W-L records, conference championships, and/or some other criteria. OU was given the harder SEC schedule because of their performance in the Big 12.
Something like that, more or less.

Because Georgia is so good it’s equivalent to playing 8 other SEC teams.
