No championships to speak of

Tiny rinky dink stadium

A HC that was being talked about getting shitcanned before this year. He was able to take advantage of a historically WEAK SEC opponents:

LSU- Loss by 10 at home against the worst defense in LSU program history.

WINS
UK- another always inflated pre season team

Tenn- good win. Give it to you there

Florida - I mean come the frick on. This was the worst UF team perhaps ever
UGA - Loss by 9 and it wasn’t that close

USCe- another W against an historically bad team

Vandy- come the Frick on

Ohio State- bowl win against an OSU with a ton of star opt outs

So let’s pump the brakes on Mizzou and this their “historical” season and their place in this conference.

Mizzou had a great season, and they did it with comparable scraps. That speaks to great coaching …

By definition that qualifies as historic by the standards of Mizzou, Kentucky, South Carolina.

Except that one time we piled on 4 ST or defensive TDs on that gaytor arse in the swamp. Or that time we held them to 151 total yards. Or that time we dropped 6 offensive TDs on them with Odom as HC. Or that time Eli lightsaber mic dropped that gaytor arse.

Hard to keep track of all those down years.

You’re right, it was closer.

There was one.

You just took our defensive coordinator and made him the highest paid assistant in college football and then trash what his team did?

Are you retarded or are you retarded?

Who said it was a historic season?

It’s top 3 for us since SEC expansion, but not historic

I think much of the hoopla was due to them being written off before the season began and then considerably exceeding those expectations.

They had a great season - let’s leave it at that.

Ya'll took our DC and are still melting about our success. Enjoy another mediocre season LSU.

1. It's disingenuous to say Mizzou vs Georgia "wasn't that close". Mizzou had a second half lead and was losing 24-21 in the 4th quarter.
2. It's also disingenuous to say Mizzou has "no championships to speak of" as they have won 15 conference championships and have an unclaimed national championship in 1960. To refresh everyone's memory, the team compiled an 11–0 record (7–0 against Big 8 opponents), won the Big 8 championship, defeated Navy in the Orange Bowl, was ranked No. 5 in the final AP Poll, and outscored its opponents 295 to 93.
3. Mizzou fans enjoyed a great 2023 season in which the team won a Cotton Bowl and will finish in the Top 10. It's a shame this success has you so triggered. Good luck with your team in 2024!

Game was closer than the final score - did you watch a single Mizzou game outside of when they played LSU?

Bottom line this was a great season for Mizzou and next season is shaping up to be even better with the expectations being the playoffs. Losing Baker hurts, but he was already set to be the 5th highest paid coordinator in the country with the extension he'd signed at Mizzou. We have $ to hire someone just as good to replace him - he is not the best DC in the country by any means and he benefitted greatly from the program Drink has put together
