Texas is the darling of ESPN due to their long partnership with the Longhorn Network. They will always push for Texas to get ahead. ESPN is the one who has started that Texas is back nonsense every summer for the last 15 years. ESPN is the one who got Texas into the SEC. ESPN is the one who helped Texas get a very easy first SEC conference schedule next year. The only hard team they play is Georgia and that’s at home. Go back and look at Missouri and Aggie schedule from their first season in SEC back in 2012. Big difference in strength of schedule compared to what Texas has in 24.

Folks will rue the day they ever allowed an ESPN backed Texas into the SEC after NIL became a reality. Texas now has the SEC affiliation to throw around and arguably the best NIL collective will likely double in size over the next two or three years.
Arch Manning is going to cash more checks than any Texas undergrad in history, including Michael Dell.
