Do y'all think Texas is better than UGA?

Both are 1 loss teams. Texas wins big 12 and only notable win is against Bama.
I think the committee painted themselves in the corner with the whole head to head matchup thing between bama and Texas. They used that to keep Texas ahead of Bama so they had to keep bama ahead of UGA.

I wouldn’t say better, but they have the potential to beat UGA

Texas going to get beat by Washington like they stole something

Not even close. No!!! Georgia isn’t even playing like they can on Defense today and are still better.

I don’t know but would love to see that matchup.

Absolutely Texas is better. It was easy for most people to see all year that this Georgia team wasn’t the same as the past 2 years. Texas is much better

Well we beat Alabama at home and Alabama beat Georgia.
Obviously not the best way to compare teams, but without playing head to head it’s all we have.
I’d say we would certainly have a shot.

Lol at these reactions to Georgia beating FSU’s JV team.

There’s no way we could hang with Bama either.

Texas beat Alabama, UGA didn't. Texas is in, UGA is out. Alabama could have beaten TCU last year but we didn't get in and so that becomes meaningless.

Well, UT already proved it’s better than Bama. So that by transitive thinking it makes them better than UGA.

Mudholed Bama in their own house.ZFG.

In the scenario we had, Texas needed to be ahead of Alabama. Do I think Texas is better? Probably not, but they beat Bama in Tuscaloosa this season. If Texas had lost one more, the head-to-head argument slides away.
Assuming that winning the conference matters, UGA lost their shot. If you look at the quality of loss, Texas is out.

They certainly better than gumps as proven on field

Anyone who knows anything about football knows that Georgia is better than Texas. ESPN was determined to have Texas be in the playoffs. So, they got in.

Texas has the DL to beat UGA.

well we know they are better than Bama... should be Texas UGA if anything you needed a miracle to beat a bad bad Auburn team.....

I would say probably not but they most definitely earned their way in over UGA by playing Bama on the road and winning.

Georgia's probably the best even though Alabama beat them.
However, it seems the committee basically just chose 4 of the 5 conference champions.
