FSU's QB Tate Rodemaker just announced he's entering the transfer portal and won't be playing in the Orange Bowl.
FSU's 3rd string is about to run into a buzzsaw of pissed off Dawgs.

I saw the line move a full point probably due to that

UGA will get no credit for beating FSU regardless of the score. This is as much of a let down as the sugar bowl vs Hawaii. We were and still are the best team this season. ...

I completely agree with you totally but i hate to say this I mean I loathefully hate to say this but i think the committee got it right there was just too much pile up between the top 7 teams this year should we had beat Bama we were in No question we are in if this was The 12 team playoffs this like I wish it was we would have been in no question . The twelve team playoffs allows the 2 maybe possibly 3 loss teams duke it out and then the rest to be set in place to no doubt give us the best NCG.

I can understand this and I’m definitely over it and looking forward to skull fricking the noles. However, I think everyone overthought the final 4. Yes, Texas beat bama week 1, but their one loss (Oklahoma) is much uglier than ours. I never understood how that Oklahoma loss just was forgotten about completely and it was always “yea but they beat bama”.

Still doesn't mean it won't be incredibly satisfying when and if it's an epic beatdown. Their coach is a little doosh canoe, and geographical pecking order needs to be upheld.

Oklahoma beat UT on the last play of the game. Their loss isn’t uglier than ours.
Oklahoma was less than 10 points away from being unbeaten.

Head to head has to matter eventually. Otherwise, there's no point in playing the games and we might as well settle everything with Vegas power rankings and 247 recruiting rankings.
Texas won at Alabama. Therefore, they have to be put in over Alabama. Alabama beat us on a neutral field. Therefore, Alabama has to be put in over us. Michigan and Washington weren't going to be left out.
Dawgs have no one to blame but themselves for sitting home and watching the games that matter. They had a chance to prove themselves on the field and fell on their faces.

It was a bad night to have a bad night. At the end of the day, the Dawgs played their worst football all season in a game that had zero wiggle room.

I still blame Auburn juuuuuuust a little bit.
But yes, above all else we just had to win. We knew that and we lost the game in the trenches.

The only potential upside to this season going off the rails abruptly as it did is that it gives a little bit of negative adversity to the new pups on the team. I'm fine with a bad taste being left in their mouths if it becomes a defining moment that galvanizes the 2024 Dawgs and beyond.

The way I see it, Georgia didn't play its best game but we just came up 1/4 of an inch short of beating Bama so I'm proud of the team for accomplishing what they did.

What if our defense held them to a FG attempt after the catch that wasn’t a catch? They get 3 at best. But they scored a TD. Still had a chance to limit the amount of points they could get on the board at that moment in the game and buckled.
What if the offense didn’t turn it over deep in our own territory granting them a short field to grab easy points? Self inflicted.
What if we don’t have a false start that impacted our FG attempt? Left 3 there.
Like every close game against fairly equally matched teams, it came down to 4-5 key plays. We had to many errors against a very good and motivated team. We played our B game against their B+ game. We play our A game and we would have won by 10+. Self induced errors in execution and scheme was the deciding factor.

Yes, but they lost Bedlam, and it was glorious.

Any word on who has traveled with the team to Miami? I haven’t even heard of any opt outs…
Brock? Ladd?

Brock and Mims supposedly didn’t get off the plane; or Damon Wilson.

Damon Wilson had surgery and will be out.

AJC reporting about Bowers not being on plane also had the caveat that it doesn't mean that he ont arrive in Miami soon or that he's definitely not playing. (Granted, I think it's highly unlikely that he does, unfortunately).
