Rouse, Raym, Guyton all headed to the NFL.

Matteur likely UDFA.

Byrd hit the portal first after losing his job to Green.

Green hit the portal (as a full-time starter mind you) because of his broke-arse dad auctioning him off after putting him out for bid behind everybody's back.

This is what happened. None of it is "culture issues"

If this were the case then why aren't guys flocking from LSU, Bama, UGA, etc. for A&M, Texas, Oregon, and whatever other schools that have deeper pockets.

Nobody is "flocking away" from Oklahoma. Green is our first player to pull a Bear Alexander, who came from GEORGIA, and went to USC. It's the same scenario. A broke-arse dad shopping his highly ranked son out after one season for his own financial gain.

If it hasn't happened to your school yet, it will.

Still much better than figs who are now relegated to bottom rung since OU and big brother joining.

Your starting QB left after going 10-2. I get trying to act like its not a huge deal as a fan but a starting QB leaving is definitely an issue.

My Sundays have never been richer and more fulfilling since I ditched the NFL. In addition to more family time, projects around the farm, etc it also gives me more time to spend reading the rant and digging deeper into college sports. I don’t miss it one bit.

Gabriel left because there's a cyborg behind him he has no chance of beating out next year.

Same with Key Lawrence.

Good Lord....

I haven’t decided whether or not to renew my season tickets yet if that’s what you mean.

I think your schedule next year is going to feel different. Every week will be a fight in the trenches.

I actually think it’s good for the sport. You could have recruiting season. Portal season. And football season. Plus in the long run I think it adds parity.

I haven’t lost a penny to NIL.

Sunday, go to church

Already do that.

As for saturdays where I live college football occupies some of the best weather days of the year.

I could hangout with friends and family.
I could be on my boat.
I could be on a golf course.
I could restore and drive a classic car.

I can think of dozens of other ways to spend my saturdays.

My hotel bill for Bama-Texas was more than I spent per night the last time I stayed at the ritz-Carlton in SF and this was for a 3 star in Tuscaloosa.

When they sent me an invite to buy tickets for the rose bowl I did the math on the trip and realized I could take a three day trip to Paris for roughly what it would cost to do LA with tickets, etc.

So yes, I’m about checked out.

While the OP doesn't state this, the general outcome doesn't change. Oklahoma will be going into the best defensive front 7 conference with an entirely new offensive line, a new QB and a new OC. Not really a recipe for success if you ask me.

Or... because your OC left and Gabriel wanted to go to an establish QB favorable team like Oregon and not have to deal with the risk of a shite OC for his final year.

Quite sure they’ve known a very long time how to pay players…

They've been doing it for decades, I don't see why it's something they should just now have to figure out.

Right...

Because backup QBs supplant effective starters all the time...

And everyone has Joe Burrow/Cam Newton just waiting in the wings. Just ask LSU fans, Nuss is basically Burrow.

Whats more plausible?

A. Gabriel was scared of losing out his starting job after throwing for 3,660 yards 30 TDs and 6 ints, so he decided to transfer because of a freshman...

B. He saw the writing on the wall that OU lost half its offense and OC so he decided to jump ship to a QB friendly system before he graduates.

If you say option A, you're just lying to yourself
