FSU earned the right to be in the CFP. They beat everyone on their schedule, including the Heisman winner. Alabama did not. Texas did not. There is no logical reason for an undefeated team to be left out, except that is what the media wanted.

Might I remind you why ND was chosen over A&M years ago? "Well, we've already seen A&M play Alabama, and ND had the better overall year" ... I seem to remember Texas and Alabama playing earlier this year

Hypocritical to say the very least. Completely corrupt would be a better way to phrase it

Not over Bammie, they didn't.

shite, Ole Miss beat the frickin' Heisman winner. What kinda dumb shite is that?

Alabama won their conference, playing the #6 SOS. With FSU's buried somewhere in the frickin' 50's. There's your "logic" right there.

Were you fricking stoned every day in HS government class? The only right they have in all of this is to bitch about it.

The one thing I have learned out of all this is the size of the FSU twitter army. They have a lot of folks out there

BS. How many times you think that pass gets completed in that scenario?

Probably 1 in 150. And that’s being generous.

FSU struggled with 5-7 Florida the same week as the Iron Bowl and then again VS a Louisville team that already lost to 3-9 Pitt and Kentucky.

Is that same qb playing for the bowl?

Most CFB fans are on FSU’s side here. It is the first time an undefeated P5 has been left out. It’s a big controversy outside of the SEC

SOS of Unbeaten Teams Left Out of Playoffs

2020 Cincinnati-50th
2017 UCF-54th
2023 FSU-55th
2018 UCF-65th
2016 WMU-75th
2023 Liberty-88th

Looks consistent to me

Remind me again how many POWER 5 teams are on that list? Mind you, this is the first time EVER, an undefeated P5 team has been left out.

That list and FSU's SOS speaks to how pathetically weak the ACC really is and it's a Power 5 conference in name only.

In fact, comparing all of those SOS's, it's obvious the ACC is barely a glorified group of five conference.

Curious. Did any of the teams on this list beat 1 sec team much less 2?

All FSU has to do now is win its bowl game
and like UCF in 2017 , declare yourself the
National Champion , with rings for
players and hope people 50-years from now will
buy into it.

Isn’t Bama known for doing just that ?

Florida State isn’t that great: • pulled away late from 6-6 G5 team • needed prayer to beat 6-6 rival • 3-point win vs. 4-8 conference foe • lost by 10 at home oh wait shoot this is my Alabama file one second

Bama all but lost to a terrible Auburn team at the end of the season. FSU could take down Bama with its backup. It’s not that far fetched.

At least 6-6 auburn is better than Florida this season. FSU only beat a 5-7 Florida team by 9 points.

It's funny how rivalry games are always tight, isn't it?

Using auNeck logic, any team that can only beat a horrible rival team by a handful of points doesn't deserve to be in the playoffs.

Thanks for supporting Alabama with its playoff aspirations. Roll Tide!

Well Alabama has a better resume due to sos and is better period. I still don’t see the problem. FSU best win was LSu. That’s it. Their combined opponents record is well below .500. It’s not really close.

I had no idea Florida State’s civil rights were violated. The College Football Playoff is a private non profit organization right? A private club where members share revenue right? A club that can make up whatever rules or regulations as it pleases? Florida State can always protest by leaving the club. Nobody will stop them or prevent their exit. This isn’t an area of life government has any say. It’s none of their fricking business. FSU. You’re not good enough and you’re not interesting enough. Florida State go frick yourself because you’re out. Bitch. That’s your commission report.

Can't be. If that were the case, FSU would've tried to change conferences by now.

Oh. Wait.

Literally lost to the same team Georgia did.
