Will SEC start full on men’s soccer?

Seeing the Cowboys kicker hit from 60 and 59 made me wonder IF any of the schools that have men’s soccer have had players kick for the football team?
Does South Carolina have men’s soccer?
Which conference teams actually have men’s soccer?

South Carolina and Kentucky have D1 men's soccer. The rest of the league have club teams. Both have strong clubs especially Ky.

ETA: Unlikely not necessarily no. But with NIL going the way it's going, I doubt we are going to see many more women's sports added to counteract a new men's sport.

It takes a while to transform a free kick soccer player into an effective field goal kicker. Football kicking coaches want you to stop playing soccer if you’re going to make that transition. It’s all about the angle of your ankle and how wide you approach from.
My son make the full switch from soccer at 14, but most successful players are unwilling. Here’s a video from last weekend. You can see how low on the ball, ankle almost parallel to the ground, that a field goal is. Free kick or PK and that ankle is way higher to control the ball flight.
It can be learned and soccer players make the best kickers for sure. Grab the kid who earns the free kicks and send him to a kicking coach.

Unlikely any men’s sports are added but if so I would think Lacrosse is the route before soccer

I played soccer with the kid who kicked off for us while I was at bama. Never attempted a fg or xp in college, but he did set or tie the fhsaa record long field goal of 61 or 62 yards, 25 years ago. My younger brother played d1 soccer at a school that didn't have scholarship football

One of my best friends went to Davidson in the early 90’s. Graduated English lit and is now a Radiologist.

They were in the pioneer league with them, but no. Jacksonville University is where he went. Only worthwhile story he has of college football was Gronk's brother played for them, and that was only fun off the field.

My first college basketball game was to see Dee Brown play, with my 8 and under basketball team. We got free ju watches for being in the first 1000 to show up, and not a 1 worked after 2 weeks 
my younger brother attended in the 00s, but absolutely rocked a throwback hat honoring Gilmore. Obviously I'm a decade too young to have actually seen that team that made the finals, and sadly year by year you hear fewer stories about them.
Back to the kicking thing briefly... we actually talked about it over the weekend. We had doubts on his 50+ ability, but he could've been all pioneer league, maybe we delved into a couple other locals who could've probably had success kicking. I went with another kid I played soccer with, Dez White. Went to gtech and played wr in the nfl for a handful of years. Hell of a leg on him. Could boom touch backs all day if necessary, iffy on fg accuracy.

The problem is it’s hard to convince higher end soccer players to switch to football in HS. It’s difficult to do both. It may be easier to convince players after college because the NFL league minimum is $800k+.

Yes, and they're in the process of rebuilding the program. Annan ended the season well, with a strong run in the conference tourney.
SC has produced some national team stars, such as Brad Guzan, Clint Mathis, and Josh Wolff. We're not a national power, but fan support is strong, and the program is on a positive trajectory.
I used to go to soccer games when I was in undergrad. They're a lot of fun.

With NIL money for kickers in college, plus full ride everything if you’re lucky, it can make the decision a little easier. Tough to go from the best player on a soccer team, touching the ball countless times during a game…to a kicker though. Way different mindset.

In my experience a soccer ball is so much easier to drive. So much more forgiving. If you are a little off on a football you like Charlie Brown or the lady kicker at Vandy

frick soccer if you wanted to add a men's sport wrestling is the way to go. Wrestling in states will increase the skill base of football players, especially linemen.
