News has it Nick Saban is going to retire. It will be a good thing for the SEC and add some credibility to the referee office. Thanks Nick for the BCS Championship at LSU. Walking back to our parking lot that night there was a guy with a real Tiger. Then Mike the Tiger and Ryan’s dad striped naked and ran down St Charles Avenue. I will always appreciate Nick for beating Oklahoma that night! And my two friends for putting their clothes back on!

Funny you know. They tried to check me with the LSU thing. Then they said something about my Wranglers. I put a 12" boot in their asses and some rocks in their ears.

If this is true at all (I doubt it) it would leave the question, who will replace Saban? I would not want to be the guy to follow the GOAT, it’s a lose lose situation. You will not be able to fill those shoes and never receive the credit you deserve if you win a NC.
Most coaches with talented rosters won’t want to leave what they’ve built. Maybe a Dan Lanning would.
To me, when Saban retires Bama will be hampered by past success.
