Burton's transfer decision

Dude was getting roasted by UGA fans last year for transferring and later missing out on another ring.
Was even shown where they had a running thread updating his stats after each game to make fun of him.
Following the conclusion of conf championships:
8th in the conf in rec yards
T-3rd in conf for rec TDs
1st in AVG YPC
Ended with more TDs and yards, and a higher AVG than any player on UGA's roster this season.
Plus he is still in the hunt for a ring?

I don't think UGA cares about losing Burton
The bigger loss was AD Mitchell to Texas
Burton didn't prevent UGA from getting a ring last year and he went into a loaded Bama offense and still didn't get a ring with a Heisman winning QB and transfer RB in Gibbs but still didn't get a ring

Burton is trash. He won't make it two years in to the NFL without him being locked up.

OP I think its worth noting that both of the players that hit the portal on UGA and came to Bammer played a key role in the SECCG win.

Marshall had his best game by far against UGA.
But Ive always thought that it to be ridiculous and extremely child-like to get butt hurt over a player leaving your school's team for another school, even if that school is a rival. It's the pettiest of the petty, and super cringey.

What? There wasn’t a single UGA fan mad at Trez. He played 4 years here and was huge in the CFP last year due to injuries.

That transfer seemed to be predictive of the chaos this portal with no sit out penalty has created.
Portaling from the national championship team to the team the national champ beat for the championship was just bizarre.

He brings a edge to the WR corps and is a big motivator for the locker room and is a great athlete. If he is a clown I'll have a clown like that on my team all day.
