Interesting stat. Alabama has the most at 10 but no idea about your question about same season.

You’re better than Chat GPT. It couldn’t come up with that

Auburn beat Bama and UGA in the same season when both ranked number 1. Then loss to UGA in championship game. Bama won NC without winning division. Good times.

This is more likely in the SEC and will be more likely in the 12 team playoff

Alabama did beat two teams whose only loss was to Alabama in 2009, but Texas was ranked #2.
Florida and Texas were a combined 26-0 against teams not named Alabama.

Yep. #1 Georgia. #1 Bama. All in a 15-day period.

2009 team went through a gauntlet to go 14-0
From final rankings:
#2 Texas (13-1) 37-21
#3 Florida (13-1) 32-13
#10 Virginia Tech (10-3) 34-24
#17 LSU (9-4) 24-15
#20 Ole Miss (9-4) 22-3
Of all of those games only LSU was at home.
Also beat
8-5 Auburn 26-21
8-5 Arkansas 35-7
7-6 South Carolina 20-6
7-6 Kentucky 38-20
7-6 Tennessee 12-10
5-7 Mississippi State was Alabama's only SEC opponent that didn't have a winning record.
There probably aren't a ton of teams that have beaten 5 top 20 teams from the final AP poll and 5 more P5 teams with a winning record, especially coming out of the SEC.

Were you in a coma or lost on a deserted island in 2017?

You left out the fact that Auburn lost 3 games that season.

#25 Texas
6 top 14. 7 top 25.
Other power 5 teams over .500
8-5 Texas A&M
8 total power 5 teams with a winning record.
It's probably the strongest top 6 wins a teams ever had but there have been deeper overall schedules.

The better question is has any team beaten (or even played) two #1 ranked teams in consecutive games?
