What is wrong with weed?

I watched a close friend die from pancreatic cancer. The pain and nausea from chemotherapy were preventing him from being able to eat and sleep. He had to leave the state to get medical marijuana but it helped him. He was able to gain back a few pounds and sleep through the night.

I don't know why sheriff's are against it. That seems silly.

I do think the tobacco industry is against it because anyone can grow their own pot... in a pot. It isn't as simple with tobacco. Now that the cigarettes industry is significantly weaker, I think that is one of the reasons the legalization stuff has moved forward.

While on the subject of legalization, we should legalize Distilling. Our founders did it, why can't we? A lot of countries - I think Germany and New Zealand are a couple - allow small personal use distilling. We can make beer and wine, but can't distill it? crazy.

All I know is, as far as smoked weed is concerned, it was a hellava lot more aromatic back in the day as compared to today's product that assaults my olfactory organs no matter the location/geography.
