This is the hilarity you get from SECSECSEC fans. Ole Miss didn’t do anything this season to give any confidence they could win 13 straight games against any schedule.

They didn't lose to Kansas.

Both Ole Miss losses were to teams with 12 wins. Both on the road.

And they will smoke PennSt. PennSt has zero offense.

Just beat everyone not named Alabama or Georgia. Better SOS, same best win as FSU.

Tell us you don't want to play Alabama, without telling us. Every Michigan coach, player, and fan was frantically wanting FSU to be #4, and you all know why, and the rest of the world does as well

UGA played a patsy schedule and lost to a team the should have lost to Auburn and Arkansas. They are overrated just like the SEC.

Take the politics out and bring the BCS formula back and let the top 4 go which would've been.
1)Michigan
2)Washington
3)Bama
4)FSU

Texas would be pissed but bama's win over UGA catapulted them in.

They cared that Alabama and the SEC had to have a spot in the playoff by birthright. And as a result, they sent a message that what happened on the field -- the blood, tears and sacrifice that players made all season to win every game on their schedule -- was less important than getting the most compelling TV matchup.

Wow, the one SEC rep out of 13 committee members (and they are from Kentucky) sure does have a lot of pull.

Yeah, it's almost like there was some cheating going on behind the scenes. We need some Michigan Men to clean up this mess LOL...

Bama stole their rightful playoff slot. FACT

So now Bama not only has the ability to recruit outside of the rules, have all the officials in college on the payroll, run the SEC offices, but now we run the playoff committee too? Seems like there should be some sort of class offered to the lesser folk on how to get on this level.

Bama didn't steal anything. The playoff committee made a decision.

Yeah, not competitive against Bama or UGA. Beat SEC teams that only SEC fans think are good, and didn't beat them convincingly. And, you're correct. They share the same best win as FSU. One team embarrassed LSU, made them quit, on national television. The other team gave up 49 and won with 39 seconds left.

The only people who think its reasonable OM would roll FSU's schedule are SEC honks who think every team in the SEC is just a notch below Bama, UGA, the 49ers, and Chiefs.

It's an OP ed dude. It's not an official ESPN position. There's a big difference. Know the difference.

FSU scheduled 2 P5 OOC opponents.

And? Alabama SOS #5, FSU #50.

Are you telling me that FSU should have scheduled half of the big 6 from the SEC with Bama only playing 1 BigXii team?

Not telling you anything. You're the one saying FSU did something impressive when they haven't. Their SOS is dookie. Maybe join a new conference? idk and idc

In most years, playing in a terrible conference works out for the best B1G or ACC teams. Didn't work out for FSU. Play a respectable schedule. Obviously, FSU tried to beef up their schedule, but it didn't pan out.

I'm not giving them credit because Florida used to be good. That's absurd.

So you claim that FSU should have scheduled 3 SEC opponents.

And Alabama scheduling 1 and losing to that one is the same as FSU versus 3 SEC teams.

You are crazy and you know it.

The amount of denial from Bama fans is insane.

Nah, they scheduled one. The other is an annual game that's been scheduled for as long as any of us have been alive...back when they were independent.

Sorry Florida sucks right now.

With OOC games scheduled years in advance, do you just have to rely on luck and chance?

When there's 5 major conferences and just 4 playoff spots? Yeah, luck and chance come into play.

But I've learned in last 2 weeks from the Iron Bowl that you throw rankings out the window in rivalry games. Is that not true?

Moving goal posts. OP I responded to said ACC wins over SEC teams were more impressive than SEC wins over ACC this year. Demonstrably untrue.

lol yep. If Georgia had beaten Alabama, Texas would have been 4th and effectively blocked FSU.

I would bet every penny I have that if UGA had won, we'd see 4 undefeated P5 champs in the playoffs. UGA vs Fla State, Michigan vs Washington.

And Texas would be saying "damn it, we should have beat Oklahoma".

Why not? Alabama played 9 of them.
